Rangamati is great place for boating and cruising

It's a very interesting way to learn about new cultures and explore new places through travelling. Traveling also creates a space on energizing own self. Not much, to be honest. I don’t get many days off in a year but when I do have time off.  I mainly spend that time with my family or solely to explore new places. In last week i was tremendous busy on performing my regular task. To escape from diligent and make refreshing myself, i am searching for outing. Though, Bangladesh is called the Queen of Beauty. Bangladesh's has tourist attractions include historical and monuments, resorts, beaches, picnic spots, forests and tribal people, wildlife of various species. Activities for tourists include angling, water skiing, river cruising, hiking, rowing, yachting, and sea bathing.

Recently, I made space for travelling at Rangamati with my family on 2-3 February 2017. In that regards, i booked bus ticket as Pharika Express, which was started from Oxygen circle, Chittagong. After riding the bus since 2.10 hours we safely arrived at Rangamati. It's located some 77 kilometres away from Chittagong. Rangamati is connected with the rest of Bangladesh by road and water. Its the only exception district in the country that there was no Rickshaw, due to typical topography. Small and large hillocks are scattered all over the town as well as lake around entire the city. For accommodation, I had rented a room on Hotel Sufia International. Their hospitality is good and the fare is reasonable. After checking the hotel, we came out from the hotel and start to exploring the beauty of Rangamati. Rangamati is a district in south-eastern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Division. Rangamati is the largest district of Bangladesh. Rangamati, a small town located amongst the green hills, lakes and rivers of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. It is known as the Lake City of Bangladesh as this place is located on the bank of the beautiful Kaptai Lake.  Rangamati is famous for, scenic beauty, colorful tribal people, tribal homespun textiles and ivory jewelry.

The people of the city are diverse and multi-ethnic. The ethnic tribes of Rangamati are the Chakma, Marma, Tonchongya, Tripura, Murong, Bome, Khumi, Kheyang,  Chak, Pankhoa, and Lusai. The mix of different races, cultures, religions and customs creates an interesting community at Rangamati.  It is said that without visiting Rangamati a tourist will miss a colourful slice of Bangladesh.

Places of Visited Rangamati;
The travel to the greenery place itself is an utterly enjoyable one if you adopt the attitude of an adventurer as it has some significant tourist spots like Kaptai Lake, Hanging Bridge, Chakma King’s residence and Rajban Bihar Pagoda. Here I discussed the place where I was visited.

This 335feet long bridge across a portion of the Kaptai lake is an icon of Rangamati. It is just 5 kilometres away from Rangamati town. So you can hire a private jeep or CNG auto rickshaw to go there and maximum rent is 120 BDT (CNG).  Actually, Rangamati is famous for this bridge.It’s really a very beautiful bridge. Every year thousands of people come here to visit this bridge and lake.

It is a huge lake and it has some tiny islands. It is a great place for boating and cruising. We travelled BNS Shaheed Moazzam Naval Ghat to Natun Bazar through Boat. Here we observed the natural beauty of lake as well as only Hydraulic Power Station Bangladesh. We also enjoyed the beauty of Lake Parades, which was maintained by Bangladesh NAVY.

Hilly Slope Road Rangamati City to Kaptai;
Before going to Kaptai lake, we had travelled Rangamati to BNS SHAHEED MOAZZAM Ghat. Its about 25 KM long zigzag hilly road. The beauty of the road is awesome. This road has been built by the guidance of Bangladesh army. On the way of travelling, we have found a Buddhist Monarchy as named Vanobhanter Srithi Mandir, Baradam. This Monarchy also bears the testimony of effect Kaptai barrage, after barrage, the plain land of Rangamati was submerged under water. A five stored Monarchy was submerged under water now only the apex part monarch are seen. Now a replica of ancient Buddhist Monarchy was built at side of lake which named Vanobhanter Srithi Mandir

Kaptai National Park;
This forest reserve is located in the Karnafuly and Kaptai range. It provides some walking trails among the lush green forest.  The animal species of Kaptai National park are deer, elephants, monkeys, fishing cats and birds.  The Kaptai Forest Rest house, Kaptai Mukh Forest Rest House and several picnic spots are located here.

After finishing the boating from BNS Shaheed Moazzam Naval Area to Kapatai Natun Bazar. Then we hired a CNG to Lichu Bagan, Rangunia, Chittagong. Here we finished our lunch and then ride on Bus on the way to Baddarhat Bus Terminal, Chittagong. And safely reached to my sweet home with my beloved family. I am so happy and relaxed in the journey Because my mother was belonging in the total journey.
